Kirby Gregory

Kirby Gregory joined the band on guitar and vocals in 1973, billing himself as simply, "Kirby." He toured with the band and appeared on the "Air Cut" and "Lovechild" albums. Kirby contributed the compositions "U.H.F." and "The Flasher," as well as co-writing "The Purple Speed Queen" and "Armin."

After leaving Curved Air, he formed the band Stretch with drummer Jim Russell. Stretch recorded four albums from 1975 - 1978, plus the hit single "Why Did You Do It?" In 1978, Kirby left Stretch and recorded his only solo album, the very rare "Composition." He also did several sessions, appearing on albums by Gloria Mundi, Noel Janus, and Danny Kirwan.
